31-Day Fall Fitness Challenge for Beginners Day 7

Week 1: Gentle Movement

Day 7: Rest Day Take a moment to reflect on your week. Journal about your feelings, the progress you made, and the ways you were kind to yourself. Treat yourself to a leisurely walk or a soothing stretching session.

Keep in mind that even with gentle exercises, our bodies still require rest for recovery and repair. Rest is essential for allowing the body to recover from physical activity, even if it’s gentle. During exercise, muscles experience tiny tears and stress, and rest enables the body to repair these tissues, build strength, and reduce fatigue. Additionally, adequate rest helps prevent injury and promotes overall physical and mental well-being, ensuring that you can continue exercising effectively in the future.

In your planner, think about how you can introduce some variety to your workouts. Will you increase the number of reps, add more r esistance, or change the intensity? Maybe you’ll switch up your equipment—like trying a Pilates ring instead of resistance bands. As a side note, Aldi has both resistance bands and Pilates ring in store for just a couple more days. https://www.aldi.us/weekly-specials/this-weeks-aldi-finds/

First: Thank you for sharing one of my blog posts as a helpful one.

I also appreciate the rest day. I tend to push myself harder than necessary so building in a rest day is significant. Thank you for that! I am so enjoying this series!
