What’s In Your Fridge
What’s in your fridge? Apples: Granny Smith, Russet, Red Delicious, Ida Red, Golden Delicious (I think), Macintosh, Pears: Asian and D’Anjou, celery, carrots: purple and orange, beets: regular and golden, lettuce: Romaine and leaf, kale: Lacinto and curly (possibly), lemons, oranges, red pepper, parsnips, leeks.
Not refrigerated: ginger, turmeric, bananas, avocado
Doesn’t include anything in the freezer for smoothies. Or anything for other family members.
I’ve never had a parsnip let alone juice one so this will be a first this week. Not sure what I’m going to do with the leeks. I’ve never had them raw and then I’ve only had them in potato leek soup from a carton. Maybe I can do like a V8 style juice with garlic.
I also got a bag of spinach and a bag of lemons from Costco as I was almost out.
The Farmer’s Market is open 1 day a week and Whole Foods and Trader Joes is a drive from my house. The nearest grocery store’s produce isn’t up to par but sometimes has be to due to weather.
