Automotive Hall of Fame
Located adjacent to The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village, the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn celebrates the individuals who have shaped the global automotive industry. Established in 1939, the Hall honors inventors, designers, engineers, and entrepreneurs whose innovations have transformed transportation and influenced society.
For homeschool families, this museum offers a rich educational experience that intersects history, science, technology, and cultural studies. Exhibits delve into the stories of automotive pioneers, providing insights into how their contributions have impacted daily life and the world at large.
Virtual Learning Opportunity
While the museum’s in-person exhibits provide a comprehensive look at automotive history, there’s also a virtual exhibit available. Launched in February 2024, “From Collector to Advocate” offers an immersive journey into the life and legacy of Robert Tate, a distinguished car collector and historian. This exhibit continues the Hall’s efforts to honor and amplify the achievements of Black individuals in the automotive industry. It’s a valuable resource for families exploring personal stories of innovation, passion, and impact within the automotive world — and a great way to learn more about Robert Tate’s lasting contributions as a collector, historian, and advocate.
