This blueberry + basil smoothie blends sweet fruit with a subtle herbal twist for a refreshing, nutrient-packed option that’s anything but ordinary. Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen blueberries (I used fresh today)
- 1/2 cup frozen mango (or frozen peaches)
- 1 handful fresh spinach
- 3–4 fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup coconut water or almond milk
- 1–2 tsp lemon juice (optional, brightens the flavor)
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored plant protein (optional)
- 3 Tbsp chia seeds (or flaxseed or hemp hearts; start with 1 Tbsp if new to chia)
Instructions
Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust as needed: more basil if you enjoy a stronger herbal note, or more fruit for added sweetness. Serve immediately.
