Juicing and Smoothie Apps

Juicing and Apps | Red Garage Door Today I wanted to talk about apps. I will start by saying I have an Android phone so those are the apps I know. The apps may or may not be available for an iPhone.
2 of my favorite apps for juicing & smoothies: Smoothie Rx & Juice Rx. Apparently these apps are now called Smoothie Pro and Juice Pro. With both of the apps, you can search by ingredient, health condition or name. When you find the recipes you like and you add them to a grocery list. When you are at the farmers market or grocery store, you just click on the grocery cart and the app has your listed combined and sorted. I just clicked on a few different recipes and added them to the cart. Under the Fruit category, it shows me that I need 82 apples,1 grapefruit, 1 lemon, etc. Under vegetables it shows 17 beets, 2.6 pounds carrots, etc. Under herbs it shows 1 ounce parsley, etc. I would love if both apps would combine grocery carts with each other.

I did spring for the expansion packs (you pay for them) because I do like the apps a lot. Go with the free version first and give it a whirl to see if you like it.

There are also apps for caloric intake and nutrition information. I like the apps Cron-O-Meter https://cronometer.com/ and Lose It https://www.loseit.com/ and My Fitness Pal https://www.myfitnesspal.com/  . You can add your own recipes for smoothies and juices and it’ll save it and do the calorie counting & nutritional breakdown for you. You might have to pay for the app to get full benefits but it is much quicker than writing it down in a journal that you might tend to misplace and adds extra weight to your purse or gym bag.

I too have an android phone so I am excited that you are sharing compatible apps. We do smoothies a lot at our house. I have always been intrigued by juicing but haven’t tried it yet. I will check out these apps. Thank you!

I just started using MyFitnessPal again and have even loaded in recipes I make in quantity, then break down into individual portions. I’m finding it very helpful in staying accountable to myself. Although I haven’t done a lot of juicing, I hear good things, and will definitely see if similar apps are available for the IPhone. I’ve already linked my FitBit and MyFitnessPal so what’s a couple more apps. Thank you so much for the information.
