OHMI enrollment for January

Oakland Homeschool Music is accepting new students for mid-year enrollment in all classes except for Beginning Band & Orchestra, Guitar & Young Strings (unless the student has previous experience).
Classes start up again January 5 & 6th, so let us know right away if you are interested in enrolling your students.

We have a complete K – 12 music program.
We have 2 branches – one in Waterford, and one in Troy.
We have 33 weeks of classes, 3 concerts, field trips to professional concerts, go to U of M Vocal Arts Day, have a t-shirt design contest, and get professional photos done of our groups.

No previous music experience is required for beginning level classes, or for the choirs (except the Advanced Choir – that is audition only).
We teach music reading, sightsinging, & music theory in class.

OHMI has 250 students enrolled in 18 different classes – not counting our parents who play with us.
We offer Elementary Music Class, Elementary Chorus, MS Chorus, Concert Choir, Advanced Choir, Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Beginning Strings, Intermediate Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Young Strings, and Guitar for beginner to advanced levels.
Parents can learn an instrument or sing along with their students, and do not pay tuition.
Discounts given for multiple students & classes.

Our students attend MSVMA (Michigan School Vocal Music Association) & MSBOA (Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association) events, such as Solo & Ensemble, Band & Orchestra, and Choral Festival, and consistently receive I (superior) and II (good) ratings. This year we have 2 students chosen for MSBOA State Honors Orchestra & State Honors Band. These students will perform at the Michigan Music Educators Convention next month.
