Sesame Ginger Teriyaki Jackfruit Over Rice Ramen

It was my first time having jackfruit. I think it needed a little bit of some type of greens like chopped kale or arugula, or maybe even cilantro. It was really good. I can’t believe I waited so long to try jackfruit.

Jackfruit is a versatile fruit that’s perfect for meatless cooking. Young green jackfruit has a tender, shredded texture that’s a lot like pulled pork or chicken, but without the cholesterol. It easily takes on the flavor of whatever sauce or spices you use, making it great in BBQ, curries, and stir-fries. Naturally low in calories and fat, it’s also a good source of fiber, vitamin C, and potassium — a hearty plant-based option that keeps things light.

Jackfruit cooked with Sesame Ginger Teriyaki sauce and bbq sauce, and Ajika Georgian spice. That atop of Rice Ramen Noodles with Kite Hill sour cream and ginger, and everything has Trader Joe’s Cuban Style Citrusy Garlic.
