I’m juicing so I can get healthy. I’m juicing to lose excess weight. I’m juicing because it feels good. I am starting to crave juice now. There. Â I’ve said it. It feels good. I eat unhealthy food and I feel horrible. I eat healthy food and feel good. On occasion, Â I’ve gone on healthy food kicks or what I thought was healthy.
I found out the hard way that soy is Not my friend. I’ve heard tofu was good for you, as well as soy milk. I was on soy so long that my body said Enough! I had crazy menses. The worst it became was when I had it for 30 days. An entire month. That amount of blood loss can mess you up. I went to the ob/gyn and was put on prescription iron pills. The same kind I took while pregnant. Then the ob/gyn wanted to do surgery. Â “The surgery”. The appointment was made. The day of the appointment, I was getting freaked out. I reached for the door but couldn’t go in. I left. I left and went home. I read an article about soy because something was going on that I didn’t think major invasive surgery would fix. What was I doing different that caused this to happen? Why was I being anemic? Why the major amounts of blood loss? Something kept telling me in the back of my mind that it was the soy. I read some more about it. And kept going back to thinking soy had something to do with all of this. I quit soy. I quit drinking soy milk and eating tofu. I tried to keep away from soy by reading the ingredients on anything I bought. Soy is in a lot of processed food. It took my body an entire year to get rid of the affects of soy. A favorite salad dressing has soy and that can still be my downfall. But that is part of another food kick best saved for a later time.
So I say, toodaloo soy! Bring on the juice!
