Zucchini So Big, It Has Its Own Zip Code – Royal Oak Farmers Market
I’m not saying this zucchini could clear a path through a farmers’ market, but it definitely took up a big portion on the shelf in my fridge.
I swung by the Royal Oak Farmers Market, grabbed a few things (okay, more than a few), and came home with enough produce to question my fridge’s structural integrity. Giant zucchini, enough greens to make a rabbit blush, and more peppers, radishes, and beets than I can fit in my produce drawers. I also picked up a few eggplants so my daughter could make more of her fantastic fried eggplant.
Here’s a peek at the haul – and yes, that zucchini stretches from the front to the back of my fridge.
Royal Oak Farmers Market Haul:
- The ginormous zucchini, of course
- Kale, green leaf lettuce, red leaf lettuce, romaine, and celery
- Beets, radishes, and red bell peppers
- Green beans, a couple of sweet potatoes, grape tomatoes
- Granny Smith apples, red apples (I do not remember which type)
