Acai Green Smoothie Bowl
This smoothie bowl base has 2 big handfuls of power greens blend from Earthbound Farm that include spinach, kale, and chard. 1 1/2 cups of frozen pineapple, 2-inches of fresh ginger, 1 unsweetened acai pack, and 1 1/2 cups of Aldi’s Cherry Berry Blend that has dark sweet cherries, tart cherries, blueberries, and strawberries. I also added 1 scoop of chia seeds (approx. 3 tablespoons), 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 heaping teaspoon of cacao powder, and 1 scoop SunWarrior Vanilla Protein Powder.
This bowl had a nice, light, chocolate taste. I didn’t use nearly as many greens as my last couple of green smoothie bowls.
Toppings: Frozen berries, freeze dried blueberries and raspberries, and coconut flakes.

Hi Jodi! This looks awesome! As someone who loves superfoods, it blows my mind that I have never had an acai bowl. Ironically, I have looked at a few this week and now I see your recipe! Thank you. It must be time!
I have a feeling I’ll love it!

I’ve been thinking of other veggies and fruits I’d like to try along with acai. It’s fun being able to create different smothie bowl bases. With this bowl, I did get my red, white, and blue food in for 4th of July even if it was the toppings. It’s definitely time for an acai bowl. Let me know your results, Fran!

I don’t have a wide variety of fruits in my diet. Maybe 10 at the most. So I would probably just switch them up. I have no idea what acai tastes like. So that’s what I am looking forward to. I also went grain-free recently so that eliminates a few toppings. But I like nuts, seeds, and coconut.

I found Carlos Grain Free Blueberry Walnut Granola today at Kroger on clearance, https://carlosgrainfree.com/products/blueberry-walnut-granola. This type of granola might be something that could work for you.
