Thank you Kristine. I love the combination of beets, apples, and spinach. They are wonderful in juices as well. I’ve posted a couple https://homeschoolingonashoestring.com/four-green-juices/ and https://homeschoolingonashoestring.com/juicing-april-2020/ Do you have a favorite creation using this combination?

I have never been so elaborate in preparing for my health. This is inspiring!

Hmmm, looks interesting. I like my ginger in small doses, lol. And kale is bitter. Maybe less so in a smoothie bowl. Looks like a recipe designed to encourage good health!
Jodi
Thanks for your comment, Alice! I totally get what you mean about ginger and kale—they both have strong flavors! When I first starting taking ginger, I had to start with smaller amounts. In this recipe, blending them into a smoothie bowl actually helps mellow out the bitterness of kale, and the ginger adds a nice kick without being overwhelming. It’s definitely a balance to encourage good health while still enjoying the taste. Have you tried similar recipes before?

I like ALL the ingredients and would happily have them anytime. But I am not a smoothie person .More of a whole food diet .I use ginger in multiple dishes throughout the day.Chia seeds are my absolute favorite !
Jodi
Smoothies allow you to pack a variety of fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious ingredients into one convenient drink. Blending breaks down cell walls, making nutrients more easily absorbable compared to consuming whole foods where some nutrients might pass through undigested. It’s also convenient and saves time. And chia seeds are rich in omega 3s which are anti-inflammatory.
Thank you for your feedback and for trying out the recipe! I appreciate your rating and value your input. If there’s anything specific you think could be improved or adjusted to make it a 5-star experience for you next time, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Tamara
Uggh, beetroot, so healthy, such a pretty and vibrant color, so not a favorite of mine 😉
Jodi
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s interesting how beetroot can be polarizing—some love it for its health benefits and vibrant color, while others find the taste not to their liking. Have you tried it prepared in different ways? Sometimes the way it’s cooked or seasoned can make a big difference in how it tastes. Either way, it’s great to hear different perspectives on food preferences!
