Cherry Berry Chocolate Delight Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen cherries
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 teaspoon beetroot powder. I used Sunwarrior Beet Root Powder.
1 teaspoon cacao powder
3 Tablespoons chia seeds
1 scoop Sunwarrior Vegan Collagen Building Powder Protein Peptides in Chocolate Fudge flavor
1/2 cup almond milk
Toppings:
sliced cherries
sliced strawberries
1 cut up Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Cups (I ate the other one)
coconut flakes
Thoughts: I was pleased with how smooth and creamy the base turned out. This smoothie bowl had a wonderful velvety chocolate flavor.
Here are some nutritional benefits of this delicious smoothie bowl:
- Frozen Cherries: Rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which support heart health and reduce inflammation. They also provide vitamin C for immune support.
- Frozen Strawberries: High in vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants like ellagic acid, which may help reduce oxidative stress and support skin health.
- Beetroot Powder: Contains nitrates that may help improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. It also provides essential vitamins and minerals like folate and manganese.
- Cacao Powder: Packed with antioxidants, especially flavonoids, which can improve heart health and provide a mood boost. It also contains minerals like iron, magnesium, and zinc.
- Chia Seeds: Excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. They support digestive health, provide sustained energy, and help with satiety.
- Chocolate Fudge Collagen: Contains collagen peptides that support joint health, skin elasticity, and hair strength. It also adds protein to the smoothie bowl.
- Almond Milk: Low in calories and high in vitamin E, which is beneficial for skin health. It’s also a good source of calcium, vitamin D, and unsaturated fats.

Cherries and strawberries, two of my favorites. Of course gotta have coconut, another great recipe.

Hi Doug, I do the same but I use a So Delicious Dairy Free Frozen Dessert https://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/dairy-free-foods/dairy-free-frozen-desserts/ Would your cherry and chocolate frozen yogurt be Cherry Garcia?

Jodi, another yummy looking recipe! I especially enjoy cherries, which are in season right at the moment. This week, we can get both red cherries and Rainier cherries– so delicious, and loaded with antioxidants and vital life force energy. Thanks for the reminder that we can get beet root powder. And sometimes dried cherries are just the thing to add to energy bar recipes. Yumm!

Beside the antioxidants, cherries are also good for inflammation. One of the supplements I take is Tart Cherry. What is you go-to energy bar recipe? I checked your website and didn’t see it. Maybe I missed it?
