Jodi, what a yummy looking original combination you’ve come up with — again! I tend to eat those components without blending and just sprinkle cinnamon and such over apple slices. But the protein powder has to go in a milk-type liquid, and I drink those between meals. Thanks for the additional inspiration!

Thank you Kebba. I’m glad you found the combination inspiring! I ate the other half of the Honeycrisp apple with almond butter and a little bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top. Dinner was a small, simple salad of arugula, sliced almonds, fattoush dressing, and nutritional yeast flakes.

Sounds delicious! Although I might leave out the turmeric. I do know it’s good for you, and I used to take it as a supplement. But as a whole, it sounds like a treat. That’s a neat way to get in the fiber you might not get in an actual smoothie.

Turmeric is wonderful in combating inflammation. I ran out of my turmeric supplement. It can be strong but in this instance it wasn’t. It was a little strong when I was cutting it up but that was to be expected.

Today may be Day 23, but something tells me you’re able to come up with smoothie bowl variations way beyond this blogging challenge – Amiright?
Jodi
I don’t know Tamara. I’ve been reviewing my juice and smoothie recipes for inspiration. I keep rewriting my fridge inventory list because it is better than sitting in front of it with the door open deciding what I want to make. I would like the smoothie bowls to have variations so I’ve also been trying to come up with a spreadsheet that shows what items I’ve used with what. A task that in hind site would have been better had I started it when the challenge started. I also want to be mindful of when items expire. My cacao powder expires next month. I did finish off the red velvet collagen powder and that had an expiration date of next month as well. The rosemary I bought from the farmers market has gone bad and I couldn’t figure out the best way for me to use that. As much as I love my smoothie bowl organizing cart, the granola seems to clump in the jars. I think that particular product will be best kept in the original bag. Coconut cream is only good for a super short time once it has been opened. That is what prompted today’s smoothie as I thought of peaches and cream.

Love the peaches! Summertime is so tasty with them in the mix!
