Mango Pineapple Green Smoothie Bowl

Because I was taking this smoothie bowl to work, I put the smoothie in a Ball jar. I packed a Collapse-It collapsible bowl in my lunch bag. When I was hungry, I poured about half of the mixture into the bowl and added my toppings.

I ate the other half later during my work day. The red powder is what was in the bottom of the GoStak container that held the freeze-dried raspberries.

My lunch bag is the Ebags Crew Cooler II. Its exterior dimensions are: 15β³ length x 10.5β³ width x 8.5β³ height. Ebags store is no longer but you can find Ebags Crew Coolers in secondary markets like eBay, Mercari, and so on.
Toppings:
Unsalted toasted sliced almonds, pineapple, freeze dried banana slices, freeze dried raspberries, and coconut strips. I bought most of the toppings from Trader Joeβs and they were inexpensive. A little goes a long way. I used BlenderBottleβs GoStak Food Storage Containers to bring my toppings. I have these in various sizes, and they easily fit into my lunch bag. By not adding the toppings until Iβm ready to eat, they remain fresh (or at least in the state they were in when I took them out of their bags) and canβt sink into the bowl. I havenβt run across a problem of toppings sinking as all the smoothie bowl bases Iβve made so far are thick. The freeze dried banana slices are so tasty!
Iβll post more about costs in an upcoming post so be on the lookout for that.
Thoughts on this smoothie bowl:
I loved this smoothie bowl. Mangos are creamy, sweet, and so delicious. Pineapple was needed only in a small amount because it has a powerful taste. The protein powder I added helped to thicken the base and wasnβt overpowering and the chocolate fudge flavor complimented the base mixture.

This reipe looks delish and as I am still struggling to lose weight I will make this for my family for a snack this week. I’ve never had a Mango but have been wanting to try one and my husband loves Pineapple so I know he will like this Smoothie. Thank you for sharing the recipe with us.

That looks delicious and I like the food storage containers to add them just before you eat your meal. Coconut and slivered almonds are two of my favorite toppings in my creations.

Yes to coconut and almonds! Slivered defintely are better than whole almonds in a smoothie bowl.
