Notebooking Tip

I’ve found that we really enjoy using smaller-sized notebooks—especially when the subject allows. Ours are 5.5 x 8 inches, and they’re just the right fit for smaller hands. Plus, they’re less intimidating for kids who prefer compact pages or love to sketch little pictures (mine does!).

I try to recycle paper whenever I can, often slicing full-size sheets (8.5 x 11) in half with a paper cutter to create simple, DIY pages. It cuts down on waste and keeps our supplies budget-friendly.

You can even find page protectors in this smaller size if you want to preserve work or build a mini-portfolio.

Sometimes, the right tools make all the difference—especially when they support both creativity and sustainability.
