Pen Organization So Many Pens to Organize
I have a lot of pens. They were once neatly organized, but after a few chaotic moves and impulse buys, things got a bit out of control. When I couldn’t find the exact pen I wanted, I’d just buy more. Then I made the mistake of browsing pen reviews and trying out new brands, which only made the problem worse.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been slowly working to get my pen collection back under control. Here’s my plan:
- Work Pens – I’ve already brought a bunch to the office, but only the ones that are low on ink or not my favorites. In a place where people assume anything in your desk must be company property – without even bothering to ask if you paid for it with your own hard-earned money – it’s safer to keep the good pens in my tote.
- Donation Pens – I’ve donated a lot of extras to resale shops and the local animal adoption agency run by Animal Control. They can always use supplies, and it clears a bit of space.
- Personal Stash – I’ve sorted my personal stash into a bag by Orla Kiely for Target, with one of each type and brand I actually like. The extras have been packed away in a replenishing bag for storage, so I can pull from it as needed.
- Desk Pens – My desk will only have one small pink cup for daily use. If it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t stay.
I’m trying not to buy any more pens (though I’m not making any promises). For now, I just want to enjoy using what I already have.
